Sustainable and Responsible Mining
Building responsible mining projects for long-term value
Pela Global develops projects designed to deliver long-term local benefit while meeting internationally recognised technical, environmental, and governance standards.
Framework
Our operations are conducted in accordance with Macedonian law and EU-aligned environmental and social requirements, while aligning with the IFC Performance Standards used globally for responsible project development and investment.
Environmental Stewardship
We develop and operate projects with a focus on long-term sustainability, accountability, and continuous improvement. Where assets have a historical footprint, they are managed accordingly, with the objective of strengthening site management, reducing existing impacts, and progressively applying modern environmental standards.
Health and Safety
We operate structured health and safety systems across employees, contractors, and partners, supported by clear accountability, regular monitoring, training, competency frameworks, and ongoing review of incidents and hazards.
People and Communities
Our projects are embedded in the regions in which we operate. We work with local workforces, engage constructively with communities, and maintain an active on-the-ground presence as projects develop.
Good Governance
We apply structured oversight, clear lines of accountability, and disciplined information management across our activities, supporting responsible investment and long-term project credibility.
Our Approach
Responsible mining across the full project life cycle
We consider the full life cycle of each project from development through to closure. This includes planning for long-term site management, rehabilitation, and responsible closure, with the objective of leaving sites in a stable, safe, and improved condition over time.

Krstov Dol
Modern standards for historical assets
Where assets have a historical footprint, they are managed accordingly. At Krstov Dol, this includes evaluating opportunities to reprocess and recover historic materials, including legacy tailings, through energy-efficient and environmentally responsible methods.
Regional Presence
People, communities and local benefit
Through ongoing engagement in Kriva Palanka, the village of Luke, and across North Macedonia, Pela Global supports local development and seeks to create lasting economic and social value through responsible mining.
International Alignment
Transparent, resilient and investment-ready
